Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have arguably the most ferocious batting line-up in the IPL 2025. In their first match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the season, SRH posted a mammoth total of 286/6 on the board, the second-highest in the history of the league. The fact that the record for the highest total is also held by SRH, which they recorded against RCB in the IPL 2024, shows how good a batting unit they are.
In the IPL 2025, SRH boasts of some aggressive hitters like Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Abhinav Manohar. Their entire batting has power hitters and the attack would not stop despite the loss of early wickets. Given the strength of their batting unit, it is not easy to stop SRH when their batters get going.
However, there are some teams whose bowling attack is potent enough to contain the SRH batters. It takes a collective effort from the bowling unit to stop SRH from posting a massive total, especially in their home conditions in Hyderabad. Some bowling attacks, which are balanced to operate in all phases of the game, can stop SRH batters from making the book of the damage.

3. Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals has a good bowling lineup for the IPL 2025. Mitchell Starc is the leader of their bowling lineup, he has tricks to get Travis Head early. Starc has also troubled Abhishek Sharma in the past. To bowl from the other end would be Mukesh Kumar and T Natarajan, both of whom operate well at the death.
Additionally, they have Mohit Sharma, who can claim wickets in the middle overs and the death overs. For the middle overs phase, DC has a great spin duo in Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav. While Axar can contain runs from his end, Kuldeep can outfox the batters from his end and send them back to the pavilion.
2. Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians, with Jasprit Bumrah, can be a lethal attack in the IPL 2025. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call Bumrah an equivalent to multiple world-class bowlers himself. Since returning from injury in 2023, Jasprit has been a wicket-taker. He can dismiss the best batters in the world in all phases of the game.
To support him, MI has Trent Boult in the Powerplay overs. Trent has a knack for taking wickets early in the innings. In the middle overs phase, MI could use Deepak Chahar and Mitchell Santner, along with Hardik Pandya. Karn Sharma could be handy as an impact substitute if the surface has something in it for the spinners.
1. Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans arguably have the best bowling line up in the IPL 2025. They have a new-ball duo like Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj, who can claim wickets upfront. They can operate well at the death too. As their backup, GT has options like Prasidh Krishna, Gerald Coetzee, and Ishant Sharma.
GT’s spin department is equally good, as they have the likes of Rashid Khan, Sai Kishore, Washington Sundar, and Jayant Yadav. If Ahmedabad’s surface has something in it for the bowlers similar to the previous season, they could well restrict SRH to a low total. In 2024, GT pulled off the feat and secured a win even without a potent attack.
