Back Home with KKR: Vaibhav Arora’s Heartfelt Return for IPL 2025

After playing a key role in Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) IPL 2024 title win, Vaibhav Arora is thrilled to be back with the team for the 2025 season. The right-arm pacer took 11 wickets in 10 matches last season, troubling batters with his ability to swing the new ball. Now, he is happy to return to the franchise that feels like family.

Feeling at Home with KKR

Vaibhav has been with KKR for the past four seasons and feels a strong emotional connection with the team. “It feels like my own family. I was relieved when KKR picked me again. I didn’t want to play for any other team,” he said.

Hard Work Behind the Scenes

The 27-year-old has been working hard to improve his skills, especially focusing on being effective in all stages of the game. After a successful domestic season, he is determined to contribute more. “I did well in the powerplay in 2024, but I’ve also worked on my death bowling. I want to be effective at any stage of the game,” he added.

Learning from Bharat Arun

Vaibhav credits his improvement to working with Bharat Arun, KKR’s bowling coach. “Bharat sir’s guidance has helped me become a better bowler each year. I hope to do even better under his guidance this year,” he mentioned.

Partnership with Harshit Rana

Vaibhav has formed a strong partnership with Harshit Rana, both on and off the field. “This is our third year together. We work well as a team and share a great camaraderie. It feels like the brothers have reunited again,” he said.

Embracing the Challenge

Vaibhav is looking forward to the pressure and responsibility of the new season. “There is an expectation from the fans, and trying to match those expectations is always fun. Winning the trophy once is amazing, but the real challenge is to keep doing it season after season,” he explained.

Support from Fans

Vaibhav also highlighted the support from KKR fans at Eden Gardens. “The support we get from the fans in Kolkata is our strength. We want to play for them and live up to their expectations. We won the trophy last season, and we will try to do the same this year,” he concluded.
