The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) struggled to put up a defendable score on the board against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2025. The Super Kings were bowled out on just 154 in their own home ground at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Young Ayush Mhatre scored 30 runs off 19 balls, while debutant Dewald Brewis scored 42 runs off 25 balls.
The others failed once again, leaving the fans disappointed. Despite being in a do-or-die situation, the batters didn’t show any intent and batted poorly, leaving the team under pressure. CSK were forced to bat first after losing the toss. Their start wasn’t good as Shaik Rasheed was dismissed on a duck. After a few overs, Sam Curran (9 off 10) followed him back to the pavilion.
Ayush Mhatre and Ravindra Jadeja tried to hold the innings together before Pat Cummins dismissed the newcomer. Then came Dewald Brewis, who made his debut for the team. He scored 42 off 25 balls, including four sixes and one boundary.
CSK were bowled out on their own home ground after a poor batting performance. Harshal Patel picked up four wickets while Pat Cummins and Jaydev Unadkat took two wickets each. With the score, it seems like SRH can easily win the encounter.
