The 35th match of IPL 2025 between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC) is currently underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. GT captain Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bowl first, but the DC top-order came out all guns blazing. GT came into the game unchanged in their playing XI, while DC brought went without the services of Jake Fraser-McGurk.
In the third over, bowled by Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul and Karun Nair were at the crease for DC. On the third delivery, Siraj pitched it full and angled in towards Rahul, who cleared his front leg and lofted it effortlessly over long-on for a huge six. The shot was timed to perfection, showcasing the right-handed batter’s elegant power-hitting without any brute force.

The right-arm pacer’s first over went for 16 runs, putting early pressure on the GT bowlers. However, Arshad Khan managed to pull things back slightly in the following over by dismissing Abishek Porel for 18. Porel had already made an impact, hitting three boundaries and a six before falling. The Karnataka duo too departed shortly after good respective starts, which helped the visitors post 73 runs in the powerplay, despite losing a couple of wickets.
Delhi Capitals have been in exceptional form this season, having won five of their six matches and currently sitting at the top of the points table. Gujarat Titans are also having a strong campaign, placed third with four wins and two losses.
Both teams are looking to secure a win today to strengthen their position on the IPL 2025 Points Table and move closer to sealing a spot in the playoffs.
